There is one report in the file which has been given by the Officer in Charge of Park Street Police Station dated 06.07.2022. There is no other report. However, the petitioner today has come up with two exceptions to the report. One is in respect of the report of the respondent no. 3 and the other is in respect of the report of the respondent no. 4. I do not find any report in respect of the respondent no. 3. However, those exceptions affirmed by one relative of the petitioner and not by the petitioner himself. Therefore, those exceptions are not accepted by this court although the same are kept with the record. Looking at the report of the Officer in Charge of Park Street Police Station, specially in the second page wherefrom it appears that the petitioner was a resident

of Jalandhar and had one Passport which was expired in 2016 due to non-renewal and he then shifted to a residence under Park Street Police Station in March, 2022.

On 03.03.2022 he applied for a new Indian Passport despite having another Passport in his name and due to that reason an adverse report from the end of Park Street Police Station was initiated after conducting local enquiry.

I do not find any infirmity in the report of the police authority. I have not sat in appeal over the said report of the police authority and I do not find any procedural defect in the said report as it is based on investigation which is known to the petitioner. Therefore, the writ application is dismissed. (Abhijit Gangopadhyay, J.)
