However, from the prayer made in the writ petition, it appears that the petitioners have raised a billing dispute and seek consideration of their representation dated July 29, 2024, by the West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL).

Learned advocate appearing for WBSEDCL submits that such a dispute is amenable to adjudication by the concerned Regional Grievance Redressal Officer.

In view of the above, there is no necessity to keep this writ petition pending.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of by granting liberty to the petitioners to raise the dispute before the concerned Regional Grievance Redressal Officer within a period of one (1) month from date.

If such a dispute is raised, the same shall be considered and decided by the said authority within a further period of one (1) month, in accordance with law, after giving the petitioners an opportunity of hearing.

Accordingly, WPA 13112 of 2025 is disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the learned advocates for the parties on usual undertakings.
