CRIMINAL MISCELLANEOUS JURISDICTION CRM (DB) 2208 of 2024 In Re: - An application for bail under Section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 / Section 483 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, arising out of Uttarpara Police Station Case No.182/2016 dated 27.03.2016 under Sections 302/394 of the IPC, 1860.

Mr. Madhusudan Sur, Ld. A.P.P., Mr. Arabinda Manna ...for the State.

1. A co-ordinate bench passed several orders requiring a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for case management.

2. Legal Remembrancer was requested by the co-ordinate bench to prepare a Standard Operating Procedure. A Standard Operating Procedure was prepared, which was considered by the coordinate bench. Several directions were issued by the coordinate bench.

3. Today, learned advocate appearing for the State submits a report, which incorporates a Standard Operating Procedure which according to the State is an improved version of the earlier operating procedure.

4. We find that, the Standard Operating Procedure prepared by the State does not incorporate user of digital platforms.

5. It is suggested that State should explore the possibility of the SOP in the digital platform so that access to the same may be obtained by the stakeholders.

6. List the matter on March 24, 2025, when a fresh report be submitted by the State.
