1. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner applied for electricity connection to operate his submersible pump and complied with formalities but such connection has not been given.

2. Learned counsel for the WBSEDCL submits, on instruction, that the petitioner is required to construct a meter room for the connection to be given.

3. Accordingly, WPA No. 14291 of 2024 is disposed of by directing the petitioner to construct a meter room at the locale where the electricity connection has been sought. Immediately upon such construction being made, the petitioner shall intimate in writing to the WBSEDCL about such construction. The WBSEDCL shall, upon receipt of such intimation, give a new electricity connection to the petitioner subject to compliance of formalities otherwise by the petitioner, within a fortnight thereafter.

4. There will be no order as to costs.

5. Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
