The petitioners who are members of Mahula-II Gram Panchayat have assailed the notice issued upon them in terms of Section 11 of the West Bengal Panchayat Act, 1973 requesting them to attend the hearing scheduled to be held at 1 p.m. at 18th June, 2026.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners do not intend to proceed with the matter any further and shall attend the hearing in terms of the notice issued on 11th June, 2026.

In view of the above, the application is dismissed for non prosecution.

There shall, however, be no order as to costs. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
