This is an application for expeditious hearing of the proceeding being Special Case No. 153/2019 under Sections 363/365/376(2)(n)/120B/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012. The petitioner before this Court is the victim girl. The charge sheet in this case was filed on January 18, 2020, and it has been submitted by the learned advocate for the petitioner that the first date for charge hearing was fixed on February 25, 2020, but the hearing was adjourned.

Thereafter, on several occasions, the hearing has been deferred and charge hearing has not yet taken place. In this pandemic situation, it is not expected that the learned Judge in the Court below will proceed with the case at a normal

pace. However, keeping in mind the innocuous nature of the prayer made in this application, this revisional application is disposed of with a direction upon the learned Judge Special Court, (POSCO Act), Baruipur, South 24 Parganas, to make an endeavour to conclude the charge hearing within a period of three months from date.

Revisional application CRR 1739 of 2021 is disposed of. All parties shall act upon the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the Official website of this Court. (Kausik Chanda, J.)
