1. Affidavit of service filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record.

2. Learned advocate representing the petitioner submits that due to acrimony between the petitioner and respondent nos. 7 to 10 over a piece of land a complaint was lodged against respondent nos. 7 to 10 before the concerned police authority. Prayer is made for directing the concerned police authorities to provide protection.

3. State respondents and Respondent nos. 7 to 10 are represented by learned advocates.

4. Mr. Chakraborty, learned advocate representing the State respondents has filed a report dated 27th June,

of Inspector-in-Charge, Mongalkote Police Station, Purba Bardhaman and same is taken on record. Copies of said report are made over to learned advocates representing the petitioner and respondent nos. 7 to 10.

5. It is disclosed in report dated 27th June, 2026 that based on a complaint of the petitioner dated 15th April, 2026 a criminal prosecution was initiated being Mongalkote Police Station Case No. 118/26 dated 15th April, 2026 under certain provisions of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. It is also disclosed in report that on completion of investigation charge-sheet was filed being Mongalkote Police Station Charge Sheet No. 93/2026 dated 25th May, 2026 before the jurisdictional Magistrate.

6. Since investigation is complete and charge-sheet is filed, at this stage no further order need be passed on this writ petition.

7. However, concerned police authority is directed to maintain peace and tranquility at the locale.

8. Petitioner shall be at liberty to approach jurisdictional Magistrate, if occasion so arises.

9. Writ petition stands disposed of.

10. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on usual undertaking.
