The petitioner has complained on two occasions to Katwa Police Station against the private respondents. The private respondents are stated to have threatened the petitioner and are coercing him to leave his ancestral property and his house and surrender it to them. The petitioner was also physically assaulted on 20th August 2021.

The Inspector-in-Charge, Katwa Police Station has issued instructions addressed to the Government Pleader and the same is taken on record.

It appears from the instructions that proceedings under Section 107 and 116 of the Cr.P.C. have been taken out against the private respondents. There has been no serious incident of breach of peace in the area since after the filing of the writ petition.

Katwa Police shall, however, ensure that there is absolutely no breach of peace in the area and shall maintain a strict vigil at the locale. Katwa police shall also attend immediately to any further complaint from the petitioner in accordance with law.

With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.
