Present petition has been filed for regular bail in G.R. Case No.985 of 2025 arising out of Kalna P.S. Case No. 453 of 2025 dated 26th April, 2025 under Sections 108/61(5)/74/3(5) of the B.N.S., 2023.

The case as has been culled out from the submissions made by the parties at bar that the present case has arisen out of complaint by one Yeasin Sekh alleging therein that her elder son, namely, late Yakub Sekh went to meet a woman. Allegedly, the accused person wrongfully harassed and humiliated the victim and the lady. Allegedly such person recorded the incident and shared through whatsapp. It has further been alleged that the present petitioner also abated the suicide by passing certain uncharitable remarks. The case is based on the hand written suicide note of the victim. The petitioner is a lady of around 35 years of age and is in custody since 26th April, 2025. Admittedly

the report of the hand writing expert has yet to come. There would be no purpose of keeping the petitioner further in custody as the investigation may take long time. It is pertinent to mention here that in the suicide note, the petitioner has not been named.

Thus, taking into account, facts and circumstances, the petitioner is admitted to bail on furnishing bond of Rs.10,000/-, with two sureties of like amount, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate at Kalna, Purba Bardhaman. Subject to the following conditions:- (i) The petitioner shall not contact any of the prosecution witnesses in any manner.

(ii) The petitioner shall meet the investigating officer as and when directed.

(iii) The petitioner shall not shift her residence nor shall travel abroad without permission of the leaned trial court. 4.

The application for bail is, thus, allowed.
