1. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that a co-accused was granted anticipatory bail by the Sessions Court who stands on the same footing as the present petitioner.

2. Learned counsel appearing for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail. She points to the statements of eye-witnesses as available in the case diary. According to the statements, the petitioner was threatening the victims to withdraw a case filed earlier by them. They also fired shots and one of the bullets got stuck on the door of the victim.

3. Considering the serious nature of allegations and the incriminating materials available in the case diary, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail is rejected.
