1. In view of the nature of the order proposed to be passed, no prior service of notice on the opposite party is deemed necessary.

2. The petitioners complain that their suit for eviction and consequential reliefs is pending since the year 2013.

3. The petitioners seek early disposal of the pending application under Order VI Rule 17 of the Code of Civil Procedure filed by the plaintiffs/petitioners.

4. We find from the records that the said application is still pending.

5. As such, keeping in view the long pendency of the suit and the connected application, C.O. No. 1858 of 2024 is disposed of with a request to the learned Civil Judge (Junior Division), Third Additional Court at Alipore, District- South 24

Parganas, to dispose of the pending application under Order VI Rule 17 of the Code of Civil Procedure and /or any other pending applications in connection with Ejectment Suit No. 24 of 2013 pending before the said Court as expeditiously as possible, positively within two months from the date of communication of this order to the said Court.

6. It is expected that after disposal of the pending applications, the learned trial Judge shall proceed to dispose of the suit itself as expeditiously as the business of the said Court permits.

7. There will be no order as to costs.

8. Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
