This is a contempt application under Article 215 of the Constitution of India read with Section 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 filed by the petitioners on 28th August, 2001.

The petitioners by filing the instant application, sought for punishment of the contemnors / respondents for violation of the order dated 17th February, 2000 passed by a learned Single Bench in W.P. 19267 (W) of 1999. Since the filing of the application, none appeared for the petitioners to press the application.

I feel that the petitioners are no longer interested to proceed with the contempt application on hand. Accordingly, the contempt application is dismissed for non-appearance of the petitioners.

Let this contempt application along with the order passed today be tagged with the main file by the concerned department.
