The petitioner is accused in Liluah Police Station Case No.04/2009 under Sections 498A/406/307 of the Indian Penal Code read with Sections 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. Sections 304B and 307 of the Indian Penal Code have been added at a later stage.

Learned counsel for the petitioner complains that his client despite having been released on bail padlock has been put on his house by the police and he is not being permitted to enter into the same.

Learned counsel for the State vehemently submitted that no padlock has been put either by the police or the investigating officer on the residence of the petitioner and the petitioner has not been obstructed by the police from entering into his house.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no other as to costs.

Report dated 10th September, 2021 of the Inspector of Police, OC, Liluah PS, Howrah Police Commissionerate is kept with the record.
