The petitioner's husband was an Assistant Teacher in Teghoria Free Primary School, Hasnabad Circle under DPSC, North 24-Parganas. Her husband joined service on 20th January, 1963 and retired in the year 1988. Prior thereto the petitioner's husband exercised option for conversion from CPF to GPF on 24th August, 1985 but did not refund the employer share of CPF.

The petitioner's application for pension was rejected on 27th March, 2001 by the Director of School Education, Government of West Bengal. The petitioner thereafter made a representation on 6th January, 2024. 3.

The petitioner has not challenged the rejection order dated 27th March, 2001. It is, therefore, presumed that the petitioner was comfortable for 23 years after rejection of her request for pension and 32

years after her husband's death. This Court is, therefore, not inclined to entertain the application for pension.

Apart from the above, the writ petition is hopelessly and fatally barred by limitation.

Hence, the writ petition fails and hereby dismissed.

There shall be no order as to costs.
