The charge is of murder. Allegedly, the petitioner has murdered his own wife.

The petitioner says that he has been framed. He is innocent. He is in custody for 168 days. Investigation is complete. Charge sheet has been filed. His further custodial detention is not necessary.

While opposing the prayer for bail, learned Advocate for the State draws our attention to the material in the case diary. We have seen the statement of the daughter of the petitioner and the victim lady recorded under Section 164 Cr.P.C. We have also seen the medical report.

There are other prima facie incriminating evidence against the petitioner. Signed By :

Given the gravity of the alleged offence and the possible extent of complicity of the petitioner in the alleged crime, we are not inclined to allow the petitioner's prayer for bail, at this stage. The prayer for bail is, accordingly, rejected. CRM (DB) 1661 of 2024 is dismissed.
