Grievance of the petitioner in this writ petition relates to issuance of ration card in his name. Petitioner submits that he has made several attempt to file application in this regard, but the respondents ration authority are not accepting the same and the same are being returned by the postal department with endorsement refused. Petitioner submits that petitioner could not submit the application physically for ration card due to lockdown during the COVID-19 period.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this writ petition being WPA 13288 of 2023 is disposed of by granting liberty to the petitioner to make a fresh application for ration card physically in

accordance with law and in proper form and if such application is made by the petitioner, the respondent ration authority concerned shall accept the same and take steps for issuing the ration card if petitioner fulfils the criteria laid down for issuance of ration card. ( Md. Nizamuddin, J.)
