Petitioner has sent a mail to the Officer-inCharge, Malipanchghora Police Station raising concerns about the demise and cremation of her mother. There are certain issues on which petitioner raised a suspicion. Since the information was sent to Malipanchghora Police Station by way of mail, Mr. Sengupta, learned advocate appearing for the State submits that according to the provisions of law the same must be signed within a scheduled number of days.

Mr. Chatterjee, learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner would approach the police station, sign the complaint and in case such a signed complaint is received, an enquiry be conducted to the limited extent to

unearth whether there has been any suspicious circumstances or not.

If such an enquiry is conducted and concluded by any officer of the concerned police station within a fortnight from the date of conclusion of the enquiry, a copy of the document may be handed over to the petitioner.

With the aforesaid observations WPA 13150 of 2025 is disposed of.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
