1. The affidavit of service filed today is taken on record.

2. The petitioner's grievance is that he has been wrongly and wrongfully implicated by the respondent authorities.

3. Mr. Banerjee, learned Advocate appearing for the respondent no. 4, submits that the order impugned is an appealable order and should be carried in appeal, which is an alternative and efficacious remedy available to the petitioner herein.

4. Ms.

Dey, learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner, does not dispute this proposition. She is, however, apprehensive that the stipulated time for preferring an appeal may have passed in the meanwhile, during the pendency of this writ petition.

5. The writ petition is dismissed on the ground that an alternative and efficacious remedy by way of an appeal is available to the petitioner.

6. The petitioner will be at liberty to take the point of

pendency of this writ petition to tide over the issue of limitation, if it is applicable, before the appellate authority.

7. There shall, however, be no order as to costs.
