This is an application for expeditious disposal of complaint case no. CS/8896 of 2017 before the learned Metropolitan Magistrate, 11th Court at Kolkata.

It has been submitted by Mr. Ajay Chaubey, learned advocate for the petitioner, that the case is at the evidence stage, and the hearing of the case has been adjourned by the learned Magistrate in the Court below on several occasions, causing serious prejudice to the petitioner.

Mr. Pawan Kumar Gupta, learned counsel, appears for the opposite parties.

In this pandemic situation, it is not expected that the learned Magistrate in the Court below shall proceed with the case at a usual pace. However, keeping in mind the innocuous nature of the prayer, this revisional application is disposed of with a direction upon the learned Magistrate in the Court below to make an endeavour to dispose of the complaint case no. CS/8896 of 2017 expeditiously,

preferably, within a period of one year from date without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties. Revisional application CRR 1746 of 2021 is disposed of.
