As prayed for, leave is granted to the petitioner to correct the Serial Number of the Secretary, Regional Transport Authority who has been shown to be the Respondent No. 5 instead of Respondent No. 3, by inserting the correct number (i.e. '3' instead of '5'). The grievance of the writ petitioner is that the petitioner's representation dated June 2, 2025 made to the respondent No. 3 has not yet been considered and disposed of.

Having regard to the nature of grievance raised by the petitioner, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent No. 3 i.e. the Secretary, Regional Transport Authority to consider and dispose of the petitioner's

representation dated June 2, 2025 (annexure P-3 at page 14 of the writ petition), upon accepting the fees for renewal, strictly in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of the order.

It is made clear that the direction for acceptance of fees would not be taken to mean a mandate on the respondent No. 3 to allow the application, if the petitioner is otherwise not eligible for the same.

It is needless to mention that the respondent No. 3 shall dispose of the petitioner's aforesaid representation dated June 2, 2025, within the aforesaid timeframe by a reasoned order and such reasoned order shall be communicated to the petitioner within a week from passing thereof.

Accordingly, WPA 13145 of 2025 stands disposed of. (Om Narayan Rai , J.)
