Heard learned counsels for the parties.

The petitioners are in custody for about eight months and pray for bail. They seek parity with the co-accused who have been granted bail by this Court earlier.

Learned counsels for the State and the defacto complainant oppose the prayer.

It is a fact that two of the co-accused who are allegedly involved in the incident have been granted bail by this Court. This Court is informed that the co-accused on bail have been threatening the witnesses as well as the family of the defacto complainant for which General Diaries have been lodged. The case involves heinous murder of a person. Witnesses have implicated the petitioners. They are in custody for about eight

months.

Offence, if proved, shall attract mandatory life imprisonment.

Considering the nature and gravity of the offence and prima facie involvement of the petitioners therein, prayer for bail is rejected at this stage.

The application for bail is disposed of.
