Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners submits as follows. By an order dated 15th April, 2024 passed by this Court in WPA 9089 of 2024, this Court granted liberty to the petitioners to seek necessary relief including applying for anticipatory bail in respect of the cases mentioned therein within a period of five weeks from the date. Till that date, the police were directed not to arrest the petitioners. In all these cases, the learned Sessions Judge has fixed the date for anticipatory bail in the first week of June, 2024. Therefore, the protection may be extended for a few weeks.

Learned senior standing counsel appearing on behalf of the State opposes the prayer.

It appears that the anticipatory bail applications are fixed for hearing in the first week of June, 2024.

In view of the above and in the interest of justice, let the police authorities not arrest the petitioners till 15th June, 2024.

With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of.
