The petitioners claims that they are causal employees under the contractor engaged by ITD Cementation India Limited. They claim to have worked for a substantial period of time and are infact workmen of M/s. ITD Cementation India Limited. They have made representation on 03.04.2023 before the Deputy Chief Labour Commissioner 2nd M.S.O. Building, 5th Floor, Nizam Palace, Kolkata - 700020/respondent no. 2. 2.

In that view of the matter, the Deputy Chief Labour Commissioner 2nd M.S.O. Building, 5th Floor, Nizam Palace, Kolkata - 700020/respondent no. 2 shall look into the representation of the petitioners and take steps within the meaning of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947, inter alia, in the form of conciliation and submit a report to the appropriate government, as mandatory in law.

In view of the above, the writ petition and the connected application are disposed of.

There will be no order as to cost.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
