C.R.R. 2598 of 2025 In the matter of:- Rakesh Choudhury @ Rakesh Chowdhury. Mr. Manas Kumar Das Mr. Aritra Kumar Thokdar ...for the petitioner Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the petitioner is an accused in this case. He was on bail in C/Special Case No. 17 of 2021 presently pending before the Additional Sessions Judge, Kandi, Murshidabad. On a particular day, he remained absent and a warrant of arrest was issued. He wants to join the proceeding at the earliest.

Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer and submits that the petitioner has remained absconding since 2022.

As the warrant of arrest was issued way back in 2022, this is not a fit case for staying the warrant of arrest.

However, let the petitioner surrender before the learned trial Court and prays for bail within four weeks from this date. In such event, the application for bail shall be considered in accordance with law.

With these observations and directions, the revisional application is disposed of.
