Petitioner prays for certain steps which are required to be taken by the concerned police authority in connection with Panskura P.S. Case No.939 of 2025 dated 16th October, 2025 registered under certain provisions of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.

It is specifically submitted by Mr. Soumen Datta, learned advocate representing the petitioner that direction needs to be given upon the concerned police authority to preserve CCTV footage of search and seizure operation conducted at the premises of the petitioner.

Ms. Suchitra Sinha Chatterjee, learned advocate representing the State respondents has placed before this Court a communication dated 29th June, 2026 of Inspector-in-Charge, Panskura Police Station, Purba Medinipur and same is taken on record. Copy of the said communication dated 29th June, 2026 is made over to the learned advocate representing the petitioner.

It is disclosed in the communication dated 29th June, 2026 that on completing investigation in connection with Panskura P.S. Case No.939 of 2025 dated 16th October, 2025, charge-sheet no.77 of 2026 dated 14th February, 2026 was filed before the jurisdictional Magistrate. Subsequently, supplementary chargesheet was also filed. 6.

Since investigation is completed and charge-sheet is filed before the jurisdictional Magistrate, at this belated stage, prayer for giving certain directions upon the concerned police authority in connection with the investigation of Panskura P.S. Case No.939 of 2025 dated 16th October, 2025 is not tenable. 7.

In this regard, reliance is placed on the judgment of the Hon'ble Supreme Court reported in 2024 SCC OnLine SC 5761 (Neeta Singh and Others vs. State of Uttar Pradesh and Others).

Hence, no relief can be granted to the petitioner as prayed for at this belated stage.

Writ petition stands dismissed.

10. However, this order shall not preclude the petitioner to approach appropriate forum in pursuit of remedy.
