Report is placed before us. We find trial has substantially progressed and seven out of fourteen witnesses have already been examined.

In view of the aforesaid facts and prima facie involvement of the petitioner in dealing with narcotic substance above commercial quantity, we are not inclined to grant bail to him. The application for bail is thus rejected.

However, we request the trial court to conduct the trial as expeditiously as possible and conclude the same within six months from the next date fixed for recording evidence without granting unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties.
