Re: CAN 2 of 2025 1.

In view of the explanations offered in the application for modification of the order dated 25th June, 2025 and as it appears that it was beyond control of the University to complete the process within the time schedule prescribed in the order dated 25th June, 2025, we extend the time to complete the entire process within 12 weeks from date.

The Secretary, Higher Education Department is directed to take a decision with regard to the conferment of power upon the Pro-ViceChancellor to comply with the direction passed by this Court within a period of two weeks from the date of communication of this order.

The learned Counsel for the parties are directed to communicate this order to the Secretary, Higher Education Department forthwith for information and doing the needful.

Accordingly, the modification application is disposed of.

In view of disposal of the modification application, the contempt petition is also disposed of.

However, there shall be no order as to costs. 7.

Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all necessary formalities.
