Counsel for the petitioner claims that Nandigram Police Station has not given permission for holding a political rally on 16th June, 2023 at 3 pm from Nandigram Bidhayak Karjaloy to Nandigram Janaki Nath Mandir and a public meeting thereat.

Counsel for the State submits that the permission has already been granted for such rally on 8th June, 2023. 4.

The petitioner has applied on 8th June, 2023 before the Superintendent of Police, Purba Medinipur seeking deferment to reschedule the rally on 21st June, 2023 instead of 16th June, 2023.

The Superintendent of Police, Purba Medinipur shall take a suitable decision in this regard by day after tomorrow.

With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.
