Petitioner states that she is aged about 77 years and cannot enter her residence because of overt acts of the private respondents who are politically influential. Petitioner prays that there may be police assistance rendered to her for entering her residence.

State has submitted a report. Report reflects that 10 cases have been registered by the petitioner and her associates on the other hand 5 cases have been registered against the petitioner and her associates/family members.

Be that as it may, there are cases and counter cases inter se between the parties and the police report practically reflects that because of conflict of village level political competitiveness and ideology the rift have been going on between the petitioner and the private respondents.

Having considered that nature of the dispute, although the cases are mainly of bodily injuries being inflicted, I direct that in case the petitioner approaches the Inspector-in-Charge of Canning Police Station, he would put in efforts to ensure that no untoward incident results if the petitioner enters his residence. To that effect the police authorities would try to create confidence within the villagers, particularly with regard to the fact that they have to stay together and in case of dispute and difference not to take law in their own hands. For the time being for a period of one month a police personnel be engaged who would every alternate day take information as to whether any untoward incident has taken place or any inconvenience is caused which may lead to an untoward incident. In case the situation is blown out of proportion, the police authorities would take steps in accordance with law.

With the aforesaid observations WPA 13394 of 2025 is disposed of.

Report so submitted by the State be kept with the record.

Copy of the report be handed over to the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
