Mr. Ishan Bhattacharyya, ... for South Dum Dum Municipality The petitioner is aggrieved by the inaction on the part of the South Dum Dum Municipality in not taking steps on receipt of the application for mutation submitted by the petitioner on 26th November, 2020. The petitioner filed a notice demanding justice through the learned advocate in May, 2022 and alleges that the same has also not been taken up for consideration by the South Dum Dum Municipality. Learned advocate representing the South Dum Dum Municipality submits, upon instruction that, presently the entire system of mutation is being conducted online. If the petitioner applied online, then the application of the petitioner shall be considered immediately.

Upon hearing the submissions made on behalf of both the parties, it appears that the application for

mutation was made way back in November, 2020. The same has been kept pending for reasons best known to the Municipality.

As it has been submitted that presently mutation matters are being conducted online, accordingly, the petitioner is granted leave to apply online before the South Dum Dum Municipality seeking mutation.

In the event application for mutation is made by the petitioner, the same shall be considered by the Municipality strictly in accordance with law, at the earliest, but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of filing the application online. Affidavit of service filed in Court is taken on records.

The writ petition stands disposed of.
