It appears from the report submitted by the State and is also submitted on behalf of the parties that the dispute between the parties has been amicably settled and the defacto complainant/ opposite party does not intend to proceed with the matter any further.

In view of the above, allowing the proceeding to continue shall be a futile exercise.

G.R.No. 2228 of 2017 pending before the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Paschim Medinipur be quashed. The petitioners be set at liberty at once and discharged from their bail bonds.

The criminal revision being CRR No. 2136 of 2024 is allowed.

Consequently the connected applications being CRAN No. 1 and 2024 and CRAN No. 2 of 2024 are disposed. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
