It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that he is in custody for more than 442 days. Police submitted charge sheet. Learned advocate for the State submits that the police received the chemical report recently. Charges are yet to be framed. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and bearing in mind the fact that narcotic substance above commercial quantity was recovered from the possession of the petitioner and another, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for bail is rejected. We, however, request the jurisdictional court to take expeditious steps for framing of charges.
