It appears from the statement of the de facto complainant/ private opposite party recorded under Section 161 of the Code of Criminal Procedure that the dispute has been amicably settled between the parties and the private opposite party does not intend to proceed with the matter any further. In view of the above, proceeding with the case being CGR no. 3698 of 2023 shall be a futile exercise.

The proceeding of CGR no. 3698 of 2023 arising out of Watgunge Police Station case no. 229 of 2023 dated December 1, 2023 pending before the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Alipore, South 24 Parganas is quashed.

The petitioners be set at liberty at once and discharged from their bail bonds.

With the aforesaid directions, the application being CRR 2145 of 2024 and the application, being CRAN 1 of 2024 are disposed of.
