The petitioner has raised a billing dispute with regard to electricity charges which, according to the petitioner, has not been resolved as yet by the concerned Grievance Redressal Officer, that is, the respondent no. 4 herein. The petitioner, accordingly, seeks an early disposal of such representation.

Despite service, none appears for the respondents. In view of the innocuous nature of prayer, further service of notice on the respondents is not being directed.

W.P.A. No. 13428 of 2023 is allowed, thereby directing the respondent no. 4, that is, the Regional Grievance Redressal Officer, WBSEDCL, Murshidabad Regional Office, to decide the representations given by the petitioner, copies of which are annexed to the writ petition, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within

eight weeks from the date of communication of this order to the respondent no. 4.

The said disposal shall be done in accordance with law and without being influenced in any manner on merits by any of the observations mader herein. The Grievance Redresasl Officer shall give adequate opportunity of hearing to all concerned prior to concluding such hearing and the petitioner shall serve a server copy of this order on the respondent no. 4 within a week from date to ensure due compliance of the same.

There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance of all necessary formalities.
