Case No. 125 of 2020 dated 25.09.2020 was registered for investigation.

The petitioner, subsequently, lodged a complaint with the Asansol South Police Station, wherein, he has referred that certain contract killers were engaged to murder him. However, in spite of informing the higher officials, till date, no action has been taken.

The petitioner is directed to file an application before the learned jurisdictional court in seisin of Labpur P.S. Case No. 125 of 2020, where he is a witness. The concerned Court would apply the provisions of Witness Protection Scheme, 2018 and after assessing the threat perception report pass necessary directions upon the concerned police station ensuring that the life of the petitioner is not at stake.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 13435 of 2023 is disposed of.
