He is in custody for 13 months. He submits there is no direct evidence connecting him with the murder.

Learned lawyer for the State opposes the prayer for bail. We have considered the materials on record including statement under Section 164 Cr.P.C. of the minor son of the deceased. Materials on record show that the petitioner was last seen with the deceased before the murder. Incriminating articles have also been recovered from the spot.

In view of aforesaid circumstances and gravity of the offence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for bail is rejected. (Bivas Pattanayak, J.) (Joymalya Bagchi, J.)
