The petitioner is aggrieved by the inaction on the part of the police in taking steps in response to the complaint lodged by the petitioner on 14th May, 2024. In the said complaint the petitioner has disclosed that the private respondents attacked his property and destroyed the same by throwing bricks and stones. The petitioner was threatened with dire consequences.

The allegations against the private respondents are denied by the learned advocate representing the private respondents.

Perused the report filed by the Officer-inCharge, Samsherganj Police Station signed on 23rd May, 2024 which mentions that in response to the complaint filed by the petitioner on 23rd January, 2024 Samsherganj P.S. Case No. 45/2024 dated 23rd January, 2024 was initiated and the same culminated in filing of charge sheet. There is no mention with regard to the steps taken in response to the complaint lodged before the police on 14th May, 2024.

The police are directed to take prompt necessary steps, in accordance with law, in response to the complaint filed by the petitioner on 14th May, 2024.

The police shall ensure that no breach of peace takes place at the locale and the life and property of the petitioner is not endangered in the hands of the private respondents.

The writ petition stands disposed of.
