Public Prosecutor Mr. Parthapratim Das Mrs. Manasi Roy ... for the State Heard the learned Advocates appearing for both the parties. We have considered the materials on record. Petitioner is the husband of the victim-housewife. He accompanied her to a fair where she was murdered.

There are ample materials implicating him in the murder. It is contended inspite of direction given by this court, trial has not concluded. We note trial has sufficiently progressed in the matter. Hence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage. The application for bail is thus rejected.

Trial court is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same at an early date.

Parties shall communicate a copy of this order to the trial court for due compliance.
