In 2008 some of the employees of the Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC, in short) formed one union, namely, DVC Shramik Union. They made several representations before the concerned authority of DVC but no recognition has been given to their union and even they have not been allowed to participate in any meeting held by the DVC for smooth functioning of the corporation and for welfare of its employees. The writ petition was filed in 2008. None has turned up to represent the writ petition. I am of the view that by efflux of time the writ petition has become infructuous. Consequently, the writ petition stands disposed of without any order.

However, there shall be no order as to costs. Interim order, if any, stands vacated.
