In this revisional application, the petitioner has sought for an appropriate order for expeditious disposal of the Ejectment Suit No. 336 of 2013 pending for the last eight years before the learned 4th Bench of the Presidency Small Causes Court at Calcutta.

My attention is invited to the order dated 12.9.2019 passed in C.O. 3058 of 2019 which reflects that a direction was earlier given for expeditious disposal of the suit within six months. It is pointed out that the learned Trial Court gave the date for hearing after four months.

This Court not oblivious of the hard facts that in the past years, the every person has suffered due to pandemic situation arising out of Covid-19.

Therefore, having regard to the materials on record, the learned Trial Court cannot be blamed. However, this revisioal application is disposed of with the direction to the Trial Court to see to it that the trial is conducted and the suit is disposed of as expeditiously as possible. If the learned Court finds any difficulty in deciding the suit expeditiously, then the learned Judge should well ahead intimate this Hon'ble Court through the Registrar Administration (LOM).
