1. None appears for the petitioners and this is the same position when the matter was listed on 09.11.2022 and 07.02.2023.

2. However, taking note of the fact that in this public interest litigation the petitioners seek for appropriate direction for establishment of a Solid and Liquid Waste Management Unit at Kalamjote under Matigara-I Gram Panchayat, Darjeeling District under "Mission Nirmal Bangla", we would direct the representation given by the local villagers to the District Magistrate, Darjeeling to be considered. Such representation has been given on 3rd August, 2021 and there are being subsequent representations also. The Gram Panchayat has also met and discussed the issue in a meeting which was

convened on 31st July, 2020. However, it appears that till date nothing has happened except for a project report being submitted for Matigara-I Gram Panchayat by the Prodhan of the said Panchayat.

3. Therefore, we would direct the appropriate respondent to take further proposal in the said project and ensure that the Solid and Liquid Waste Management Project is implemented considering the welfare of the local public

4. The above direction shall be complied with within a period of six months from the date of receipt of the server copy of this order.

5. With the above observation, the writ petition stands disposed of.
