None appears on behalf of the College despite service. Affidavit of service filed in Court is taken on record. The husband of the petitioner was an employee of Mahisadal Raj College. He died in harness on 4th November, 2018.

The widow applied for being appointed on compassionate ground by a representation dated 27th January, 2021.

The grievance of the petitioner is that the said representation has not been considered by the respondent College till date.

As it appears that the application of the petitioner praying for appointment on compassionate ground is pending consideration at the end of the College, accordingly the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent Nos. 4 to 7 to take a decision with regard to the prayer made by the petitioner for being appointed on

compassionate ground, strictly in accordance with law, at the earliest, but positively within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of a copy of this order. The said respondents shall pass a reasoned order and communicate the same to the petitioner immediately thereafter.

If the respondent authorities are of the opinion that the petitioner is entitled to be appointed on compassionate ground, then necessary consequential steps shall be taken by the College.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on completion of usual formalities.
