It appears that there is a long standing rivalry between two groups in the locality wherein one of the sons of the petitioner is involved. The said son is in custody in connection with a criminal case lodged against him. The petitioner submits that due to threat perception at the behest of the local goons he had to leave his residence with his family and is not able to return thereto. The petitioner seeks to return to his own house. Learned counsel for the State submits that the police shall render all possible assistance to the petitioner so that he is able to return to his house with his family. In view of the above, the petitioner shall approach the Inspector in Charge, Shibpur PS and intimate the intended date and time of his return to his house with his family members, the names of whom shall be furnished to the police authority. The police authority shall render all

possible assistance to the petitioner so that he is able to return to his house with his family members and reside therein peacefully and without any disturbance. The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. There shall, however, be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the writ petition are deemed not to have been admitted. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
