Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits as follows. The petitioner is a contractual worker who was employed by the University. Although the contracts for other similarly circumstanced contractual workers were renewed, the petitioner's was not. At the relevant point, the petitioner could not be present at her workplace because she was advised bed rest by her doctor as she was suffering from some serious ailment. She has made a representation dated 13.05.2024 before the University authorities to consider her prayer, which has not been answered yet.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the University denies the allegations made in the writ petition and submits that in the event a representation is pending consideration before the concerned respondents, the same shall be considered in accordance with law.

In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent no.4 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 13.05.2024 in accordance with law and expeditiously, preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order.

With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of.

It is clarified that the merits of the case have not been gone into.
