Matter is heard in presence of the learned advocates representing the petitioner, Union of India and Central Board of Secondary Education (for short, 'CBSE'). 2.

Learned advocate representing the petitioner submits that Permanent Education Number (PEN) has already been allotted by the authority of Delhi Public School (DPS), New Town. It is also submitted that soon authority of Narayana School (CBSE), New Town, North 24 Parganas being respondent nos.5 to 7 may issue PEN in favour of son of the petitioner. 3.

In spite of service of notice respondent nos.5 to 7 are not represented today.

It is submitted on behalf of the CBSE that once previous school that is, DPS, New Town has issued PEN in favour of son of the petitioner, there is no impediment in issuing PEN in favour of the said student by the said school as well that is, Narayana School.

It needs to be recorded herein that student had left Narayana School and at present is studying in another school which is under the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination.

In view of submission made on behalf of the CBSE Principal/Director, Narayana School, New Town, North 24 Parganas being respondent no.6 is directed to issue PEN in favour of son of the petitioner by fortnight from the date of communication of this order.

Writ petition stands disposed of.
