The instant writ petition was filed by the petitioner challenging the unauthorised construction at premises no. 31, Girish Banerjee Lane, P. S. Howrah, 711101 within the jurisdiction of Howrah Municipal Corporation.

The petitioner has given a written communication to the learned advocate intimating his intention not to proceed with the writ petition any further.

In view of such instruction forwarded by the petitioner, the writ petition stands dismissed as 'not pressed'.

Dismissal of the writ petition will however not stand in the way of the Howrah Municipal Corporation to take steps against any unauthroised construction at the subject premises.

Communication made by the petitioner to the learned advocate dated 16th July, 2023 be retained with the records.
