Report submitted by the learned advocate appearing for the State be also kept with the record. The petitioner approached this Court as the warrant of arrest was not executed by the police authorities and the petitioner was threatened for withdrawal of cases concerned.

So far as the execution of the warrant of arrest is concerned, learned advocate for the petitioner submits that after filing of the writ petition, the warrant has been executed. However, threat perception is still existing.

In view of the fact that a criminal case being Frezerganj Coastal P.S. Case No. 74/2013 dated 12.10.2013 was registered for investigation and if the same is still pending till date, the petitioner would take out appropriate application under the Witness Protection Scheme, 2018. The learned Magistrate would call for threat perception report from the concerned police station and on the basis of the report, pass necessary direction for witness

protection in respect of the petitioner and/or her family members concerned who are witnesses of the said case.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 14658 of 2024 is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
