Mr. Rahul Chakraborty Ms. Karabi Roy ...for the petitioner Mr. Ashim Kr. Ganguly, Ld. Sr. Adv Mr. Tarak Karan ....for the State Petitioner is dissatisfied with the manner in which Minakhan Police Station Case No. 154 of 2023 dated 03.05.2023 has been progressing.

Learned Advocate appearing for the State has submitted a report wherein details have been submitted regarding the steps taken. But, having regard to the nature of the complaint made and the report so submitted I don't find any reason that such cases would take more than one and a half years to arrive at a conclusion.

The case is exclusively based on documents.

Accordingly I direct the Investigating Officer to take effective steps, exercise the powers vested in the police authorities under the Code of Criminal Procedure so that without wasting further time within a period of sixty days the report under Section 173 of

the Cr.P.C is submitted before the jurisdictional Court.

Report submitted in Court be kept with the record. A copy of the report be handed over to the learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner. With the aforesaid observations WPA 13562 of 2023 is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
