Since the innocuous prayer of the petitioners is for expeditious disposal of C. case no. 3910 of 2015 pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate, 5th Court, Alipore, the matter may be disposed of without service of notice upon the opposite party. The opposite party shall not be prejudiced by an order directing expeditious disposal of the case.

This Court is informed that the matter is pending before the learned trial Court since 2015 and there has been no substantial progress in the case till date.

In view of the above, the learned trial Court is directed to dispose of the case within one year from the next date of hearing fixed before him without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties, in accordance with law. Accordingly, CRR 2156 of 2024 is disposed of. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon compliance of all requisite formalities. (Suvra Ghosh, J.)
