The petitioner was an approved Librarian of a Library under the Department of Mass Education Extension & Library Services. On attaining the age of superannuation he had retired from his said service on July 31, 2018. The Pension Payment Order of the petitioner was issued on October 05, 2018 but he had received the gratuity and the arrear pension on November 06, 2018.

The petitioner is praying interest on the arrear pension and gratuity for the delayed payment.

The pension and gratuity have been paid to the petitioner within a reasonable time after retirement, therefore, the prayer of the petitioner

for interest on the said pension and gratuity amount cannot be entertained.

W.P.A. 13288 of 2025 stands disposed of without any order as to costs.
